On 5 October 2026 Barbara Babolcsay presented "AI-alapú társadalomtudomány: A poltextLAB mesterséges intelligencia fejlesztései" (AI-based social science: the artificial intelligence developments of poltextLAB), co-authored with Miklós Sebők, at the conference AI a kutatástámogatásban (AI in research support).
The conference was organised by the Department of Science Policy and Scientometrics of the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA KIK) and held at the Academy's headquarters in Budapest. The programme asked whether large language models are sufficient for research support and what models built on non-language data can take from them, with talks from scientometrics, bioinformatics, food science, computational linguistics and law, followed by a roundtable with the speakers.
